There is a great American tradition amongst young men that defies all logic and common sense. The very notion of it is absurd at almost every conceivable level, yet it continues to occur over and over again. What is it I am speaking of? The house party.

When you really examine it, the idea is preposterous. You open up your home to countless strangers, who at best are friends of friends of acquaintances, offer them a plentiful supply of alcohol and instruct them to “make themselves at home”. W... Read Full Story

"Evidence of a small fire in the living room is discovered. It appears one of the curtains had caught fire and was put out by a can of Hamms. Based on the odor it is also theorized that the final flames may have been extinguished by urine."

so true, especially the final sentence. hilarious.

Great article. The house party drinking games are a prerequisite to ensuing shananigans too...

-on another note, I saw Big Ed in a Nokia commercial last night. Nice.

The upper deck is such a bastard thing to do to someone, but that doesn't make it any less hilarious as long as you are not the Upper Deck-ee.

I caught that commercial last night, too. I was confused at first, but it was pretty cool to see.

I am definitely the drunk chick. I don't spit or cry, but I talk and talk. At one party, this guy was like," WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP???" I did for like a minute. At the same party, the guys put soap powder and water all over the hard wood floors and played fumble-itis and slip and slide. Someone slid me into the banister and I broke a piece off with my head. It was the greatest night of my life. . . .seriously.

    I think. . . .

At least I am honest. And sometimes my over talking makes for many a laugh. My annoyingness is entertainment to say the least.

    I hate Jager.

remember the one with the real fat guy having sex with the skinny black girl. I think it was House Party Part II. That was my first glimpse of intercourse. Gotta tell ya, it kind of made me sick, but strangely curious.

Well done Scott! Nearly flawless, and I only say nearly because the drinking games could have been mentioned. There's always some strange one that surfaces.

But not taking anything away from a job well done.

An “upper-decker” is discovered in the tank of the toilet.....This should have been described more in detail...

Also, some mention of playing flip-cup, quarters, or Viking would have been a great addition.

no way. the upper decker reference was perfect. if you don't get it, you don't get it. if you do though, it was perfectly stated.

Usually all you do is worried that someone will set the dog on fire--again. No, much better to attend all the benefits none of the celan-up.

How did this article get rated so high?
I mean, it's not bad and I am not a hater, but there is no way that this is a better article than "Striped Shirt".
Hopefully my 2 rating will help to knock this down a bit.

than Striped Shirt, better than Oversized Cock; HOF article here.

I would also like to add "the Tim Raines" who will always come up with a good line or two.
