The Best of the Phat Phree 2005

One of my favorite things on the site is the comics section. There is something about taking those innocent characters from Family Circus or Judge Parker and giving them real dysfunction, or in some cases, dark criminal predilictions.

The comics section really hit its stride during the 10-part Jacket Series, and the addition of the comments to the comics late in the year, really made for some fun when reading the commenter's suggestions.

So here are my picks for the ten best comics from 2005, in no particular order.:

Part I: The Best of the Phat Phree 2005 #50 - 26
Part II: The Best of the Phat Phree Comics 2005
Part III: The Best of the Phat Phree 2005 #25 - 1
Part IV: The Best of the Phat Phree 2005 Honorable Mentions

Parker is Priceless

"I can't get over how comfortable this blazer is..."

Use that sentence in real life when you arent wearing a blazer and stare at yourself admiring an invisible jacket. Enjoy the stares and flee when they dial the hospital. Seriously run.

is the best hands down. I liked the crossover with AFC as well

Chad and Charlie started doing the comics back in the old print days of the Phat Phree in 1996. I believe one of CZ's Abused Phamily Circus' was the first one. Tons of our regualr writer's have contributed to the comics section at one time or another, but Mr. Colo has a certain knack (read: dark criminal prediliction) for them that many lack.

I think the Abused Family Circus was originally Chad Zumock, although Jimmy Colo does alot of them. And The Jacket was Charlie. But other people seem to do some of them too.

Great comics

Who came up with The Jacket and Abused Family Circus?

They're brilliant!
