The Halos haven't recovered from '86
There is no better time to be a voracious consumer of professional sports and amateur athletics than the present.
Unless you're a Mets fan - New York City's perennial second-class citizen;
Unless you're Trevor Hoffman - arguably the game's greatest career closer who came undone like trousers in a rub and tug the final weeks of the season;
Unless you're Gary Bettman - who decided that the solution to his League's seemingly never-ending pursuit of irrelevance was to start the 11-month-...

I'm not falling for that one again. Christine told me she was going to move to St. Pete at the beginning of the summer. But did she!? No, she shat all over me.
I don't want to acknowledge this crappy article anymore

So, let me just say, Trevor Hoffman is the best closer ever?! Are you fucking kidding me?! Have these guys just not heard of Mariano Rivera? And don't give me that 'most career saves' bullshit. Sure, then Brett Favre is the best quarterback ever.
Though it never works, let me suggest a game, completely off topic:

My family has season tickets to the Angels. They've had them since the stadium opened. They're first row behind the visitor's dugout. Do you think I'm gonna get any of those playoff tickets? Let me answer that question with another question: did I get any playoff tickets in 02 when the Angels won the series? No! My stingy ass mom went to every single game and didn't even think to invite me.

That was the most irrational piece of homer bullshit I've read since Bill Simmons' last article about the Patriots. If you both quit sucking your own dicks and paiud attention the rest of the sporting world maybe you'd learn something. Nobody gave a shit about the Rockies until 2 weeks ago because there was no reason to give a shit about them. I acknowlege that this run has been incredible, but saying they've got bench players that would start for all of these other teams is laughable.

and you're ability to hit refresh quicker than me. I was gonna go that route but I would have nailed it a lot better than you did...bastard.
Calhoun, can we get a myspace or at least some decent pics up. It's hard to take you seriously with just that frumpy picture you currently have posted. P.S. How's Denny's?
I disagree with your sports term metaphor (for Igick "Medafour"). DC was simply checking down to next possible receiver. I'm sure you're familiar with that tactic.
Annabelle - I've never heard of Monteverde, so it must suck there, is that up near wellington (aka horse country for south Florida). Don't make me explain why and how, but I know the pony Biz down here.
Huge amount of respect for bums. It takes alot to stay that drunk 24/7. My favorite one ever was standing on a freeway on ramp holding a sign that said, "Why lie? I need a beer."
For a guy who was very recently typing a lot like shannon sharpe speaks, i don't want to hear it from you.
and while i have to admit that most of what i wrote made little to no sense...just the same, Fuck you. And had i bothered to proof read instead of diareah type, my point would have been the pretty much the same.
Also, In their (but mostly my) defense, the team gets zero respect nationally simply because it's in Denver. Which means a couple of things, but mostly it's that no one east of god-awful-aurora saw a single Rockies game until Monday night. Fuck, you don't even see Rox highlights unless you watch espnnews.
But they really have some great classic baseball players; and what i mean by that is that most of their lineup came up through their farm system. Their pitching is questionable, yes. But i went to enough 10 + run games this season at Coors field to be ok with a starter giving up 6 or so. The bats are hot...if winning playoff games = racking up runs; then just keep your eye on them today.

I didn't even know the Rockies had a chance at the playoffs until a week ago. All you hear about here is the Broncos, Aves, and Nuggets. I think everyone just assumes they had another .333 season.

Broker/Dealer firms like Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch sell out variable annuities. AIG. I'm sure you guys have seen our commercials, we air them during the recent ball games. We are a financial services company, i.e. investment products. Boring.
