Miami, FL (AP) Shawn Reese, the popular web-based pornographer known as the MILF Hunter," was killed Wednesday by an infected brown starfish. He was 31 years old.
Reese, who made a trademark of hovering dangerously close to MILFs and leaping on their backs, was in Daytona Beach, FL, shooting a segment for a series called "Great, Burry Her Queef." The event was captured by the Hunters film crew, and is currently being analyzed by Florida authorities. The footage reportedly shows that the Hunter inadvertently came over the top of the female brown starfish.
"The world has lost a great Gonzo Pornographer, said Mike, the Hunters closest confidante, as he spoke to reporters from the front steps of the MILF Pad. "He died doing what he loved best and left this world in a happy and peaceful state of mind. If he were alive, Im sure he would say, make sure your Mom isn't here...sucka!
The Hunters family turned down Florida Governor Jeb Bushs offer of a state funeral, believing that Reese would not have wanted such a formal affair.
"He's just a hick from Miami, and he wants to be remembered as a hick from Miami," Mike said.
The Hunters death appears to have been a freak occurrence. Experts say that while the male brown starfish is extremely dangerous and should only be approached using protective measures, death resulting from a female, also known as the puckering brown, is extremely rare.

Its a painfully shy creature that usually flees at the first sign of an intruder, said marine biologist and noted brown starfish expert Mike Stephen. Those that have been tamed are generally very passive, almost docile.
In the wake of an unprecedented outpouring of grief from the Hunters fans, authorities fear that some individuals may be attempting to take reprisals against the brown starfish. Since the Hunters death, at least ten injured starfish - several with severe tears - have been reported in the vicinity of Miami South Beach.
Captain Stabbin, the Hunters long time associate and colleague, said he was disgusted and disappointed by the attacks and that it was the last thing Shawn would want.

They are beautiful creatures and play an important role for the industry," Stabbin said. "I hope everyone understands we have to protect the puckering brown now more than ever. This is what the Hunter was all about."
Added Stabbin, That and tagging MILFs.
A private memorial service will be held on Monday.
